Witch Hazel to PRIME lashes and extensions

Posted by Penny Marchand on

As lash artists, we all should be vowing, and wanting to use the safest and best products in the industry to provide a safe environment for our clients,  and to also give them an amazing experience along with a stunning outcome.

Witch hazel, is not only the BEST way for you to go when priming lashes, it is the smartest. It removes oils from the natural lash and provides a clean lash to apply an extension on! AMAZING right?

Is it FOOD for the lash?

It may as well be, since all the benefits of using witch hazel are super good for the not only the lash, and skin, but for retention of the lash extension that you are about to apply.

Witch hazel is an astringent with cell-tightening properties, it can soothe follicles and stimulate hair growth, explains Austin. Try using a cotton swab to swipe the product over your lashes before going to bed so that you can also reap the benefits of this AMAZING plant.

What is astringent?

An astringent is a chemical that shrinks or constricts body tissues. The word derives from the Latin adstringere, which means "to bind fast".

It can kill bacteria and some studies show the tannin from witch hazel can make plant-based antivirals, which could fight the flu.

What are Tannins?

Tannins are a class of astringent, polyphonic bio-molecules that bind to and precipitate proteins and various other organic compounds including amino acids and alkaloids.

Sanitize witch hazel?
Another great use for witch hazel is as a natural disinfectant for cuts and scrapes.
Do other salons or places use Witch Hazel?

Some waxers use witch hazel to soothe the skin after getting your eyebrows done. You can do this at home, too! Because of its astringent properties, witch hazel helps to clean out the pores, which can stop razor bumps or acne from forming after you shave or wax.

Scientific studies have tested the health effects of witch hazel, showing that certain compounds found in witch hazel may produce antioxidant effects.

So, why wouldn't you use this??  There is really nothing better out there!

If you are buying your primer from stores, it is likely packed with tons of nasty chemicals. And that too, can cause a bad reaction.

Where can you buy this amazing retention saving product and how much is it approx?

You can buy this in your drug store, grocer store, Walmart, just to name a few, and runs from $5.00 and $10.00 in Canada depending on the size.

The very BEST part other than using this as a primer is that the bottle of this product will last you forever.. SOOOO much cheaper and way safer than ANY product out there..

Honestly, one of the best choices you will EVER make...
